The 15th edition of the Ramadan Majlis was launched on Sunday evening, and Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the deputy ruler of Sharjah and chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, was there.
The Sharjah Press Club, which is connected to the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, is in charge of organizing the event, which is scheduled to run through February 26. Aljada in Sharjah is the location. The Majlis’s inaugural literary session, “Beyond the Poem: Hidden Stories that Shaped Poetic Texts,” was attended by Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed.
The event was moderated by media expert Hamed Bin Mohammadi and included poet and content creator Abdullah Al Anzi, also known as “Abu Aseel. Poetry artist Abdullah Al Anzi began the session by thanking the Emirate of Sharjah and the Ramadan Majlis organizers for their gracious hospitality and greeting.
He clarified that categorizing poets is not always a universal task because it differs depending on the lyrical preferences and intellectual inclinations of each individual. He pointed out that poetry can be classified as either classical (vertical), Nabati, or free verse, and it can also be classified as either classical or modern. Its schools and methods vary depending on the background, culture, and life experiences of each poet.
