
The first low-cost airline in the city, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, marked the opening of its first route to Yerevan, Armenia, adding to its increasing network of flights from the UAE capital.
Karen Grigoryan, the ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the United Arab Emirates, together with representatives from the airline and the airport, attended a ceremony at Zayed International Airport before departure to commemorate this momentous milestone.
Upon arrival at Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan, the maiden aircraft was greeted with a customary water cannon salute, marking the beginning of the new service connecting Armenia and the United Arab Emirates.
“We are happy to celebrate the launch of our new non-stop service to Yerevan, which marks another step in our commitment to expanding connectivity from Abu Dhabi to key international destinations,” stated Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia. In addition to providing our clients with even more reasonably priced travel alternatives, this route improves relations between Armenia and the United Arab Emirates, facilitating cross-cultural interactions and promoting travel and business expansion.
