Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, the president of the Arab Republic of Egypt, called UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Sunday to discuss regional developments in light of the escalating military actions, the dangers of a widening conflict, and its implications for regional and global security and stability.
During the call, Sisi reaffirmed Egypt’s sympathy with the UAE in any actions it takes to protect its security and sovereignty and guarantee the protection of its citizens. He also expressed Egypt’s rejection of the flagrant Iranian attacks targeting the UAE and several other nations in the region. Sisi also praised the steps the UAE has made to curb the present escalation and acknowledged its responsible role in bolstering regional stability and de-escalation efforts.
He also reaffirmed Egypt’s willingness to do everything in its power to maintain regional peace during this crucial time.
Sheikh Mohamed expressed gratitude to Sisi for Egypt’s backing of the UAE.
To address regional concerns in a way that avoids future tensions and crises and maintains regional and global security and stability, both sides emphasized the necessity of an immediate halt to the military escalation and the importance of giving discussion and diplomacy top priority.
