Following the launch of the “Neighbours of the Prophet Endowment” project, a generous benefactor has made the first endowment donation of AED 3 million to the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation, in a heartening scene that reflects strong community cohesion and deep human engagement with charitable initiatives. The Supreme Council member and Sharjah ruler, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, launched the auspicious project with this contribution.
This kind donation demonstrates how the community has responded strongly to His Highness’ exhortation for goodness, which is based on the Qur’anic verse “And for this let those aspire, who have aspirations.” To provide orphans with a respectable life and a bright future, the program is a comprehensive, long-term endowment platform that enhances their living circumstances and supports their academic, psychological, social, health, and economic development.
The contribution from a kindhearted woman was hailed by Mona bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation, as a brilliant illustration of the endowment’s timeless ideals and community cooperation. She emphasised that this program, which His Highness started, is a promising start to several contributions that the Foundation will make.
