The Israeli government’s intention to occupy the Gaza Strip has been strongly attacked by the United Arab Emirates, which has warned that it will have disastrous repercussions, including more innocent deaths and a deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
The UAE urged the international community, the UN, and the UN Security Council to carry out their duties and stop such unlawful activities that violate international law in a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA). The Ministry reiterated that protecting Palestinian rights is now a moral, humanitarian, and legal requirement rather than a question of political will.
The Ministry also called for immediate action to stop the escalation in the occupied Palestinian territory while avoiding regional spillover that could lead to more violence, tension, and instability. The Ministry emphasized the UAE’s unequivocal rejection of any attempt to displace Palestinians or any violation of their inalienable rights. To guarantee the safety of citizens, the UAE called for immediate and increased measures.
In addition to highlighting the significance of finding a serious political solution to end the conflict and create an independent Palestinian state, the Ministry reaffirmed the UAE’s historic and unwavering position in defending Palestinian rights. The UAE believes that the two-state solution is the only way to achieve regional stability.
