The UK Welcomes the King’s Decision to Deprive Andrew of His Royal Titles

Despite receiving broad support on Friday, UK King Charles III’s unprecedented move to deprive his brother Andrew of his royal titles and essentially banish him did not quell clamor for more action and increased monarchical governance.

The latest humiliating repercussions for the scandal-plagued royal due to his connections to convicted US sex criminal Jeffrey Epstein include the king’s decision to remove Andrew’s prince title, the first such action since 1919. On Thursday, Charles also declared that he was evicting his younger brother from his long-standing residence on the expansive grounds of Windsor Castle.
