Three People Are Saved When a Bus in the Indian State of Himachal Pradesh is Struck by a Landslide Caused by Rain

A rain-triggered avalanche struck a private bus in Bilaspur, the home district of BJP national president J.P. Nadda, Himachal Pradesh, on Tuesday, killing at least 15 passengers and saving three others, according to officials. Since Monday, the region has had sporadic rains.

In the Jhanduta subdivision, close to Bhallupul, the bus was buried behind a huge landslide. According to sources, the government hospital in Barthin and AIIMS Bilaspur are treating three youngsters who were saved alive.

There is little possibility that the passengers will survive after the bus was struck by the mountain, according to witnesses. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Sukhu thanked the deceased and conveyed his sorrow over the situation. According to him, he has given orders to speed up relief and rescue efforts and is in continuous communication with the district government.

In order to ensure that the injured receive proper care, the Chief Minister has mandated that they be taken to hospitals right away. Rescue operations were conducted late into the night by personnel from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), local government, and law enforcement.
