At the World Government Summit, which just wrapped up its 2026 edition with the highest international attendance in the Summit’s history and brought together 6,250 government leaders and experts from around the globe under the theme “Shaping the Governments of the Future, TikTok unveiled its UAE Economic Impact Report.
More than 7,000 jobs and Dhs1.1 billion in economic value were supported by TikTok-enabled small and medium-sized enterprises (SMBs) in the United Arab Emirates, underscoring the platform’s growing contribution to employment and economic value.
The study looks at TikTok’s impact on the social, artistic, and economic advancement of the United Arab Emirates. Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, was present when the paper, titled “The TikTok Effect: Enabling the UAE’s Dynamic Digital Economy,” was unveiled. Its conclusions demonstrate TikTok’s growing contribution to human capital development, entrepreneurship, and the creative economy.
According to the analysis, conducted in collaboration with Redseer Strategy Consultants, TikTok significantly empowers artists and small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) in the United Arab Emirates. Redseer reports that more than 70,000 local SMBs are active on TikTok, and more than 10,000 SMBs launched their businesses as a result of the platform.
