The UAE’s entire passenger train network was revealed by Etihad Rail on Thursday, a significant milestone that demonstrates the company’s unwavering dedication to developing the country’s transportation and infrastructure environment.
Through strategically placed stations, the passenger rail network will link eleven cities and regions, creating the first fully integrated national passenger train system in the United Arab Emirates. The network will improve connection throughout the Emirates and offer dependable and secure mobility services to all residents, visitors, and citizens. Etihad Rail announced the opening of its first four stations in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, and Fujairah by the beginning of 2025.
The remaining scheduled stations at Al Sila’, Al Dhannah, Al Mirfa, Madinat Zayed, Mezaira’a, Al Faya, and Al Dhaid were announced by Etihad Rail on Thursday. These stations will start operating gradually.
In response to the announcement, Azza AlSuwaidi, Deputy CEO of Etihad Rail Mobility, emphasized the strategic importance of the project by stating: “Our preparations to launch passenger services across the national railway network in 2026 reflect the vision of our wise leadership to build an integrated transport ecosystem that supports the UAE’s economic and social fabric.
