UAE Airports Continue to Top the World With 108.59 Million Passengers

Throughout the first nine months of 2025, UAE airports maintained their record-breaking performance, bolstering the nation’s civil aviation industry’s competitiveness on the international stage and its pivotal role in propelling economic expansion.

By the end of September, Abu Dhabi Airports, Dubai International (DXB), and Sharjah Airport logged over 108.59 million passengers, according to official data. By the end of this year, 159 million passengers are expected to transit through UAE airports, according to forecasts. By the end of September, there were 24.29 million passengers at Abu Dhabi airports, including 8.49 million travelers between July 1 and September 30, 2025.

The expansion plan of Abu Dhabi Airports, fueled by the introduction of additional routes, has contributed to the impressive outcomes. As part of this, Jazeera Airways started operating flights to Abu Dhabi again, linking Kuwait with Zayed International Airport and Al Ain International Airport.

This year, a number of new carriers entered Abu Dhabi’s network, including Ethiopian carriers, which started daily flights to Addis Ababa, China Eastern Airlines, which started daily flights to Shanghai, and Air Seychelles, which started six weekly flights. With 70.1 million passengers handled in the first nine months of 2025, Dubai International (DXB) demonstrated remarkable success.
