White House: Politics Over Peace’ was the Reason for Nobel Trump’s Exclusion

The Nobel Prize committee’s choice to award the peace prize to a Venezuelan opposition leader rather than US President Donald Trump, who vigorously campaigned for the honor and praised his involvement in negotiating international ceasefire agreements, was criticized by the White House on Friday.

“President Trump will keep negotiating peace agreements, putting an end to conflicts, and saving lives. In a post on X, White House spokesperson Steven Cheung stated, “He has the heart of a humanitarian, and there will never be anyone like him who can move mountains with the sheer force of his will.” “The Nobel Committee proved they place politics over peace.”

Just last week, Trump, who has run for the award, declared a truce and a hostage agreement to halt the battle in Gaza. The president posted three videos of supporters applauding the Gaza deal on his Truth Social account on Friday morning, but he has not yet responded to the Nobel decision. Although he recently stated that he fully expected to be passed over, Trump maintains that he merits the Nobel Prize and claims to have halted eight conflicts since assuming office.
