The Project Finance Committee at the Sharjah Foundation to Support Pioneering Entrepreneurs (RUWAD), at the Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) has conducted its third meeting in 2026, chaired by Hamad Al Mahmoud, Chairman of the SEDD.
The Project Finance Committee at the SEDD’s headquarters went over the approved project funding balance for 2026, as well as a summary of funding choices given through the institution’s direct funding program and indirect funding through banks.
Hamda Al Hammadi, member of the Technical Committee for Project Financing, presented the list of projects that submitted funding requests, and asked reconsideration of prior judgments given about a group of projects. The necessary choices were taken.
The committee granted money for three new entrepreneurial initiatives with a total financial value of Dhs 1.577 million. This includes support for an industrial initiative for Dhs400,000, a project in the professional sector specializing in granting quality, evaluation and standards certificates worth Dhs177,000, and a third joint project with five entrepreneurs in the hospitality sector worth Dhs1 million. The number of projects approved by the committee with funding approvals during 2026 till the end of July is 7 projects with a total funding value of Dhs 3.2 million.
