In one of Kyiv’s worst single attacks in the more than four-year conflict, a Ukrainian drone strike on the central Russian territory of Tatarstan killed at least 12 people. The drone strike on the city of Nizhnekamsk has resulted in 12 fatalities and 39 injuries, according to the most recent information, the regional press office said in a statement on Monday.
The area, which is more than 1,000 kilometers (620 miles) from the Ukrainian border, is rich in energy resources and has numerous significant oil refineries that Kyiv has been attacking in retaliation. A massive cloud of black smoke billowed at the location of an oil facility close to the industrial city of Nizhnekamsk, according to unverified footage shared on social media.
According to the UN, both sides have dramatically increased their long-range assaults this year, leading to an increase in civilian fatalities. Five persons were killed by a Russian artillery strike near the Ukrainian front line in a village in the northeastern Kharkiv region, according to local Ukrainian officials. The residential section of the village of Bugaivka in the Chuguiv district was the target of a major artillery strike by Russian forces on August 10. The hostile attack resulted in the destruction of several houses. The regional prosecutor’s office released a statement on Telegram stating that five persons had died.
It uploaded a photo of a house that had been destroyed by the assault. According to Russia’s defense ministry, 456 Ukrainian drones were shot down throughout the nite. The number of people who achieved their goals is never mentioned. A “massive” Ukrainian drone attack was previously reported in the Tatarstan region.
