On Monday, UAE President His Highness Sheik Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq of Oman discussed the two countries’ long-standing fraternal ties and ways to strengthen cooperation, particularly in the economic and development fields, in support of shared priorities and interests, as well as the prosperity and well-being of their peoples.
The discussions took place when Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed welcomed Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq, who is on a fraternal visit to the UAE. The two leaders also discussed regional and international matters of mutual importance, including the serious events in the Middle East and ongoing efforts to strengthen security, stability, and peace for the benefit of all countries and peoples in the region. The two presidents reaffirmed their commitment to continuous engagement on a variety of issues, citing the region’s common problems and the need to strengthen cooperation to ensure its security and stability.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance; Sheik Suroor Bin Mohammed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; and Sheik Hamdan Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs.
