Dr. Sultan Bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, attended the 17th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organisation (ECO) on behalf of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Friday in Khankendi, the Republic of Azerbaijan.
His Highness the President of the United Arab Emirates has accepted President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan’s special invitation to attend the meeting. This illustrates the close connection and expanding collaboration between the two nations in important areas of shared interest. President Ilham Aliyev and Dr. Sultan Al Jaber met bilaterally on the fringes of the conference.
The meeting explored new opportunities for cooperation in the fields of energy, renewable energy, and infrastructure, while reviewing the latest developments in bilateral relations and cooperative projects.
Regional leaders such as Presidents Ilham Aliyev of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of the Republic of Turkey, Masoud Pezeshkian of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Sadyr Japarov of the Kyrgyz Republic participated in the summit.
