
Subhash Madam, a 48-year-old Indian national from Kerala living in Ajman, won $1 million in the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire draw held at Dubai International Airport’s Concourse C. He purchased ticket number 2550 online on September 12, making him the 260th Indian to win the $1 million prize. Madam, who has been a resident of Ajman for 14 years and works at a mobile shop in the Sanaiya Industrial area, has participated in the Dubai Duty Free promotion for two years. Expressing his joy, he said, “Thank you so much Dubai Duty Free! I will never forget this day!”
Following the Millennium Millionaire draw, the Finest Surprise draw awarded luxury vehicles. French national Pietra Stephane won a Land Rover Defender, British national Syed Suliman won an Indian 101 Scout motorbike, and Dubai-based Indian Kunchu Moideen Madakkan won a BMW S 1000 R motorbike. Suliman, a marketing head for an Emirati hub at Dubai Airport, said winning on his first ticket was an incredible experience.
At the same time, Madakkan, a tailor and father of three, expressed gratitude after six years of participation. Indian nationals have consistently dominated these draws, remaining the largest group of participants and winners in Dubai Duty Free’s popular promotions.
