
At a press announcement at GITEX Global 2025 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, Dubai Police announced the launch of their newest smart police innovation: the autonomous robotic patrol known as “DPR 02. On Wednesday, the patrol is scheduled to start its first formal assignment at Global Village.
A new generation of cutting-edge policing technology is represented by the self-driving patrol, which can travel independently and communicate directly with the Command and Control Center to improve field operations precision and response times.
The General Department of Artificial Intelligence Director Major General Khalid Nasser Al Razooqi, the General Department of Operations Director Brigadier Turki Abdulrahman bin Fares, the General Department of Administrative Affairs Director Brigadier Mansour Yousef Al Gargaawi, the General Department of Excellence and Pioneering Deputy Director Brigadier Dr. Ibrahim bin Sebaa, and Engineer Farid Al Jouhari from Micropolis, Dubai Police’s strategic partner in the patrol’s development, were present when the announcement was made.
The debut of “DPR 02” at Global Village, according to Dubai Police, is a part of the emirate’s continuous push for a safer and smarter future and reflects its leadership in intelligent security and innovation-driven policing.
