The foreign ministers of the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, Egypt, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Turkey have all strongly condemned Israel’s repeated violations of the Gaza truce, which have resulted in the deaths and injuries of over a thousand Palestinians.
They highlighted that such activities are a dangerous escalation that will exacerbate tensions and hamper attempts to promote calm and stability. This comes at a time when regional and international initiatives are focused on the second phase of US President Donald Trump’s peace plan and the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 2803.
They also emphasised that the repeated nature of these violations posed a severe threat to the political process, potentially impeding ongoing attempts to create favourable conditions for progress toward improved stability in the Gaza Strip, addressing both security and humanitarian concerns. They also emphasised the importance of steadfast dedication to securing the achievement of the second phase of the peace plan.
The ministers urged all parties to accept full responsibility during this critical period, to exercise extreme caution, to uphold and sustain the ceasefire, to avoid any actions that could jeopardise ongoing efforts, and to work toward creating conducive conditions for progress in early recovery and reconstruction.
The ministers emphasised the importance of achieving a just, comprehensive, and long-lasting peace, based on the Palestinian people’s inherent right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state, in accordance with international law, relevant Security Council resolutions, and the Arab Peace Initiative.
