The two other finalists, Hend Alhajri from Kuwait and Abderrahmane Rais from Morocco, were also awarded Dhs1 million each by Sheikh Hamdan, bringing the total prize money for the sixth Arab Hope Makers initiative to Dhs3 million.
At the Hope Makers project’s closing ceremony, held today at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai, Fouzia Jbara Mahmoudi received the most votes and was awarded the top honours for her “Operation Smile” concept. From a large field of 15,800 competitors, Fouzia was the overwhelming winner. The Arab Hope Makers program, which honours those who improve the lives of others, continues to be the biggest in the Arab world.
Sheikh Hamdan congratulated the winners and everyone who took part in the sixth edition of the project, which was motivated by the goal of making a lasting difference in their communities and the wider globe. “Congratulations for having the drive to serve others and dedicate yourself to their service.” Congratulations for having this significant humanitarian presence that is influencing our countries’ present and future,” Sheikh Hamdan remarked. Sheikh Hamdan went on to say: “Without hope, it is impossible to succeed and pursue life’s lofty objectives. Hope is the foundation of every obstacle we overcome and every advancement we pursue.
