Parents Can Choose Between in-Person and Remote Study at Abu Dhabi Schools

To give staff time to prepare for a gradual return to in-person instruction, private schools in Abu Dhabi have informed parents that distance-learning lessons will be discontinued on Friday. In the meanwhile, several schools have given families the option to continue with remote learning or resume in-person sessions, depending on their unique situation, particularly in light of the suspension of school bus services.

This declaration comes after the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) met with principals of private schools throughout the emirate on Thursday. Clarifying the rules and duties related to the reopening procedure was the meeting’s main goal.

Additionally, schools notified parents that a meeting to discuss the operational procedures intended to guarantee student safety during the return to on-site instruction will take place on Friday. Parents were informed by administrations that distance learning would continue until a formal confirmation of the safe return of in-person instruction was given, along with precise instructions and deadlines.

Additionally, after the bus service was suspended, parents were given the option to choose between in-person instruction and distance learning for their children up to grade ten, providing flexibility based on family requirements.
