Emiratization Initiative in the United Arab Emirates grows to Include Help for Residents’ Spouses and Children

According to Nafis, the 2% annual Emiratization ratio will not include the wives of working citizens or the children of working female citizens in the private sector. This is because the ratio is calculated on a yearly basis.

The Nafis explained that the inclusion of children of female citizens and wives of male citizens in the new updates to the Nafis program is in accordance with the directives of the wise leadership, which is eager to establish a comprehensive approach to empowering families and enhancing social and economic stability. Nafis is seeking to establish a comprehensive approach to empowering families. According to Nafis, the initiative will provide financial assistance to each group in the amount of Dhs3,000 per month for those individuals who satisfy the requirements for obtaining assistance.

With regard to the reduction of support allocated to the salaries of citizens working in the private sector to redirect it to new groups of people, such as wives of male citizens and children of female citizens, Nafis stated that the modifications are not based on the principle of reducing assistance given to one category in favour of another, but rather come within the limits of developing the programme’s system and increasing the scope of its social and economic impact to keep pace with developments and community needs.
