A Safe Landing is Made by Emirates Flight From Dubai to Miami

An Emirates (EK) Boeing 777-300 with 328 people on board was flying from Dubai to Miami when it ran into a number of technical and operating problems that ended with a safe landing after more than 17 hours of travel.

As the plane got closer to Miami, it ran into rough weather with strong thunderstorms, poor vision, and wind shear warnings. For safety reasons, the crew had to abort the first landing attempt. After that, plans were made for a second landing try when the weather got a little better, but the captain called for a minimum fuel state. This attempt, however, failed because another plane did not leave the runway in time, which meant that the first plane had to go around and adjust itself in the airport’s airspace.

After a “Mayday” call, the flight captain declared an emergency because the storms were using up more fuel than expected. Because of this, air traffic control gave the plane full priority and cleared the routes, which let the crew land the plane on the third try.

Regarding the landing, Claudio D. Caceres, an Argentine expert in aviation safety and compliance monitoring, wrote on his “X” account that the flight crew followed international standard procedures and made the standard emergency call as required by Annex 10 of the Convention on International Civil Aviation.
