A Bus Goes over Close to a Swiss Alpine Town, Killing Five People

A bus transporting a Dutch tour group overturned in a remote Alpine region of eastern Switzerland on Thursday, killing five passengers and injuring forty more, according to police. According to police in the canton of Grisons, the collision happened close to the village of Susch. Online photos of the scene showed the car lying on its side beside the road, with emergency staff and police surrounding it.

The bus’s wreckage following an accident on Thursday between the eastern Swiss villages of Susch and Zernez. There were 45 individuals on the bus, and police reported that three of the injured were in a serious condition, seven had moderately bad injuries, and thirty had minor injuries.

All of the deceased, who were adults, have not yet been identified. 48 Dutch people were on board an OAD bus when a serious accident occurred, according to a spokeswoman for the General Dutch Association of Travel Companies, who was also speaking on behalf of the tour operator.
