As Part of the Initial Phase, the UAE Would Provide Blue Visas to 20 Environmental Campaigners

According to a decree issued by His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Supreme Council member and ruler of Sharjah, the Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi Collection honours her exceptional humanitarian endeavours as well as her priceless contributions to the decorative arts and crafts.

Exquisite artwork and historical artefacts from the personal collection of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, the wife of the Sharjah ruler and chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, will be shown in the museum.

By demonstrating the significant impact that Islamic and Arab crafts have had on both historical and modern art, the museum hopes to inspire upcoming generations of designers and artisans. The 10-year resident visa known as the “Blue visa” is intended for people who, both inside and outside the United Arab Emirates, have made outstanding contributions to environmental sustainability and protection. Members of international organisations, multinational corporations, associations, non-governmental organisations, worldwide award winners, and eminent environmental activists and scholars are among those granted this visa in support of environmental action. The Golden and Green Residencies, which were introduced first, are being extended by the Blue Visa.
