Salman Khan’s Appeal Against the Release of a Movie Based on his Life is Postponed by the Delhi High Court

Bollywood star Salman Khan’s request to halt the release of the planned movie “Kala Hiran” was postponed by the Delhi High Court on Friday, but no temporary relief was granted at this time. Justice Madhu Jain’s vacation bench ordered the respondent filmmaker to receive a full copy of the plaint and all supporting documentation, and it scheduled a hearing for July 1.

Advocate Nizam Pasha, Salman Khan’s attorney, argued at the hearing that the movie is allegedly based on the actor’s life and was made without his permission. In addition to requesting temporary relief, Pasha told the high court that the movie’s poster and trailer had already been made public, even though the release date has not yet been disclosed.

Counsel for the filmmakers argued that they had not received all of the case’s materials in opposition to the request for immediate relief. The attorney contended, “On Wednesday, they served me only a copy of the application, not the plaint,” adding that a FIR had already been filed and that the filmmakers were receiving death threats related to the movie.
