The UAE’s leadership vision and sustainability leadership are reflected in the new Dhs100 banknote that the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) has introduced. It is made of polymer and has cutting-edge security features and unique designs.
The Third Issue of the National Currency Project by the CBUAE includes the new Dhs100 banknote. Its design showcases the UAE’s achievements by including cultural and developmental icons that show how the country became a transcontinental hub for trade and economic activity.
The new banknote’s design uses multiple hues of red, giving it a unique appearance. The CBUAE preserved the current denomination’s colour features to guarantee public recognition. Additionally, the design uses innovative printing processes to generate designs and inscriptions that embrace the UAE nation’s identity.
The new currency’s front depicts the historical and cultural landmark Um Al Quwain National Fort. This fort connects the past and present and is a national attraction. The back depicts the Port of Fujairah, one of the biggest ports in the nation and a significant hub for shipping and maritime transportation.
The Etihad Rail, a railway network that links the seven Emirates and stretches to the nations of the Gulf Cooperation Council, is also highlighted. Because of its integrated logistics and infrastructure, the Etihad Rail is essential to fostering sustainable economic growth and fostering stronger social ties.
