Donations for the “The UAE stands with Lebanon” campaign, which was started in solidarity with the people of Lebanon suffering from the effects of armed war, are now being accepted, according to the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Affairs Council. The initiative intends to work with philanthropic and humanitarian organisations to gather public donations. At the following dates and places, a drive to collect and pack humanitarian relief packages will take place:
1. On Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, at Expo City Dubai’s Dubai Exhibition Centre.
2. The Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal at the Abu Dhabi Ports (Terminal 1) on Sunday, October 13, 2024, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
The campaign will be organised by a sizable team of volunteers from diverse ethnicities and nationalities in the United Arab Emirates, working in tandem with the Emirates Foundation’s Volunteers Platform and other volunteer platforms around the country. Donations in cash will be accepted via the Emirates Red Crescent Authority’s bank accounts, internet, and mobile applications, as well as through official associations that operate throughout the nation.
In-kind support will be obtained via the ERC Authority’s offices throughout the nation, as well as its warehouses in the Musaffah neighbourhood of Abu Dhabi and other warehouses in the Dubai Humanitarian.
