In an effort to increase investment returns for landlords, Dubai recently introduced the “third option,” a novel strategy in the residential rental market. Furnished apartments and villas in this model are offered for one to three-month leases. It meets the seasonal demand of the industry by providing attractive returns without the commitment of yearly leases or the cost of short-term hotel stays.
The demand for these short-term rentals increased by 135% in June and July, according to data from Exclusive Links, a UAE real estate company. This increase is consistent with Dubai’s new affordable rental program, which aims to provide adaptable renting options that meet consumer demands. As a result, Dubai enhances its reputation as a global centre for real estate by offering more sustainable and effective housing solutions to a variety of social groups.
The real estate portal has seen increased demand for furnished villas and flats, primarily from recently arrived professionals relocating to Dubai for employment. Executives and foreign guests who choose short-term stays over yearly leases or the cost of weekly or short-term hotel rooms are also part of this trend.
