Starting on June 25, 2026, a limited number of Filipinos will be able to receive their short-term visa upon arrival in the United Arab Emirates. “Filipino citizens traveling to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) using their Philippine passports and possessing a valid visa, residence permit, or Green Card issued by any of the following countries:
United States of America, European Union member states, Australia, Japan, Singapore, Republic of Korea, Canada, and New Zealand shall be eligible for the grant of a visa-on-arrival by the UAE,” stated the official DFA press release shared mid-afternoon on Wednesday by the Philippine Consulate General-Dubai Cultural Section. The interested party may spend at least 14 to 60 days in the United Arab Emirates. Those staying for 14 days must pay Dhs 100.00. An additional 14 days may be added to the visa “at a fee of Dhs250.00.”
The 60-day option is “not extendable,” and interested parties must pay Dhs 250. The press statement stated that the new benefit given to holders of valid Philippine passports “was in view of the excellent bilateral relations between the Philippines and the UAE.
