In the United Arab Emirates, businesswomen are still hitting extraordinary benchmarks that boost the country’s economy and offer creative solutions to the public. The UAE’s reputation as a top location for women’s entrepreneurship and empowerment in the business sector has been strengthened by the steady rise in the number of businesswomen and their economic contribution in recent years, which has received support from the government and society.
As per a report released by the Emirates Businesswomen Council, the proportion of female employees increased from 32.5% in 2023 to 34.6% in 2024. The report also disclosed that more than 2,000 new businesses founded by Emirati women were registered in the first half of this year, accounting for roughly 22% of all new businesses registered in the UAE in the same time frame.
According to the report, businesswomen account for 18,000 of all entrepreneurs in the United Arab Emirates. Moreover, women under forty lead 77.6% of women-owned businesses, demonstrating the substantial contribution that these women make to the country’s economy. The report also showed that 61.4% of these women are individual business owners and 48.8% of these women hold executive-director positions, demonstrating a notable increase in female entrepreneurship in the nation.
