Eli Lilly and Company (Lilly Gulf) has unveiled Nujoom Al Ghad, a new graduate program designed to nurture UAE talent and open new career paths in the pharmaceutical business. The 12-month program, which will start in December 2026, will provide Emirati graduates with structured rotations in both commercial and non-commercial roles. Participants will gain firsthand knowledge of how a multinational pharmaceutical company operates and the various specialities needed to deliver cutting-edge medications to patients.
The initiative reflects Lilly’s long-term commitment to developing local talent while assisting the UAE’s goal of creating a highly qualified national workforce in strategically significant industries, including as healthcare.
The future of healthcare in the UAE will depend not only on scientific innovation but also on developing the people and capabilities that will help advance it,” stated Tayllit Aherdan, Vise President & General Manager, Lilly Gulf (UAE, Kuwait, and Qatar). The goal of Nujoom Al Ghad is to give Emirati talent that chance.
“We want young UAE citizens to see our sector as a location where they may pursue aspirational and fulfilling professions, whether in communications, science, access, policy, or commercial functions. In addition, Aherdan continued, “developing strong local talent makes us a stronger company by bringing different perspectives into our organization, deepening our understanding of the environment in which we operate, and strengthening our ability to contribute to the UAE healthcare ecosystem over the long term.”
