The Ramadan Majlis was recently held in Yousif Bin Saeed Lootah’s residence in Dubai.

Ali Khalifa Al Shamsi, Director General of Emirates General Petroleum Corporation (Emarat); Engineer Amal Al Ali, Director of Petroleum and Gas Affairs at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure; and Engineer Saif Ghubash, Assistant Undersecretary for Petroleum, Gas, and Mineral Resources Affairs at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure were among those who attended the Majlis.

Engineer Ahmed Zangerli and Engineer Kim Benfield from RAK Gas; Engineer Saeed Amiri and Engineer Faisal Al Qahtani from Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC); and Engineer Safa Bani Rashid, Head of Sustainability at Dubai Municipality. The conversations centered on the most recent developments and projects in these domains, with a particular focus on creative approaches that support the UAE’s circular economy and help achieve climate neutrality.

One of the event’s main highlights was the Lootah Biofuels UCO Collecting Initiative, which was started in partnership with the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure. The program’s objective is to gather and recycle leftover cooking oils (UCO) to produce sustainable biofuels.
