On Monday, the Sharjah Press Club (SPC), which is connected to the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB), concluded its Ramadan Majlis with a discussion on the importance of values in strengthening family bonds and communities.
Senior authorities, members of the media, and members of the public attended the ceremony in Aljada. SGMB Director General Tariq Saeed Allay, SGMB Director Alya Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of the House of Wisdom Marwa Al Aqroubi, and SPC Manager Asma Al Juwaied. Mostafa Hosny, a distinguished Egyptian Islamic scholar, led a discussion during the main session on Family and Raising Future Generations. The debate, which media expert Abdulraouf Amira facilitated, focused on how a good upbringing and family values influence individual and societal growth.
Hosny emphasized the family’s importance in raising future generations and maintained that principles like respect, safety, and shared responsibility are the cornerstones of effective parenting. He pointed out that proper upbringing necessitates following the rules and having positive role models and examples.
The workshop also covered the importance of providing a nurturing atmosphere for kids, emphasizing how their beliefs are shaped by what they observe in their parents. To assist kids in acquiring balanced values, Hosny advised parents to actively listen to their kids and create a safe environment for candid conversation.
