A Net Income of Dhs4.1 Billion was Reported by Taqa During the First Half of the Year 2026

Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (Taqa) reported its financial results for the six-month period ending June 30, 2026, citing sales of Dhs27.5 billion and greater profitability, owing mostly to stronger returns from Taqa Transmission and Taqa’s Generation businesses.

Ebitda increased by 7.7% to Dhs11.0 billion from Dhs10.2 billion in the first half of 2025. Taqa shareholders’ net income climbed by 9.7 percent to Dhs4.1 billion, up from Dhs3.7 billion in the previous year.

Capital spending increased to Dhs7.2 billion, up 38% year on year, indicating accelerated investment in electricity, water, and transmission networks. Free cash flow was Dhs4.6 billion, compared to Dhs7.0 billion the previous year, owing mostly to increased investments.

Taqa’s Group CEO and Managing Director, Jasim Husain Thabet, stated that the company had a successful first half of the year, with development in its utility sectors driving better earnings. Our integrated model provides us with the security and financial strength to continue investing in the critical electricity and water infrastructure for decades to come. That is true both in the UAE and in our international markets,” he stated.
