Sunny Varkey, a philanthropist and education entrepreneur whose legacy spans over 65 years of revolutionising education worldwide, and his family today announced a Dhs 100 million donation to the Fathers’ Endowment campaign, which was started by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE’s Prime Minister and Vice President and ruler of Dubai. By creating a long-term endowment fund to offer medical care and treatment to the underprivileged, the initiative commemorates fathers in the United Arab Emirates.
The Fathers’ Endowment campaign, which is run by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), embodies His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s vision for advancing sustainable humanitarian and charitable work that makes use of community involvement and creative programs, while doing everything in its power to help those living in impoverished communities meet their basic needs and live with dignity, with a special emphasis on sustainable healthcare.
