The Next50 Initiative Meeting Talks on UAE Companies’ Entry into New Industries

Hassan El Khatib, the Egyptian Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, and Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Chairman of Investopia, attended the second meeting of the Next50 initiative, which Investopia and EMIR started. More than 19 UAE businesses involved in the program participated in the discussion, which was a part of the “Investopia Communities” roundtable series at Investopia 2025 in Abu Dhabi.

The meeting covered the UAE’s potential and investment prospects in key economic areas, especially the new economy, and how they contribute to the nation’s appeal to foreign direct investment. Participants discussed strategies for enticing UAE businesses to boost their investments and grow their operations in well-known worldwide and regional markets.

The private sector is a key partner in promoting the UAE’s sustainable economic and social development,” stated Bin Touq in this respect. As a result, we are eager to expand the company’s operations and investments both domestically and abroad, as well as its role in upcoming investment and economic plans. These initiatives will bring us one step closer to realising the objective of the “We the UAE 2031” vision, which is to increase the nation’s GDP to Dhs3 trillion within the next ten years.
