The President of the UAE and the Governor General of Australia Look at ways to Strengthen their Relationship

His Highness the President of the United Arab Emirates Commonwealth of Australia Governor-General Sam Mostyn AC and Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan talked about the two nations’ relationship and looked at ways to strengthen it.

Following the signing of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) last year, the two parties discussed exchanges between the UAE and Australia, as well as bilateral collaboration, particularly in areas related to development.

Sheikh Mohamed greeted Sam Mostyn and the accompanying team on an official visit to the United Arab Emirates at the meeting, which took place in Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi. He wished Australia and its citizens continued success and prosperity.

The Australian Governor-General and President Sheikh Mohamed discussed matters of shared concern on a regional and global level, especially the Middle East. The two parties emphasised the importance of advancing regional security and implementing initiatives aimed at achieving a fair, comprehensive, and sustainable peace in the region. Both parties also emphasised the necessity of promoting amicable resolutions to international disputes through communication in a manner that promotes global wealth and serves human values.

The 50th anniversary of the UAE and Australia’s diplomatic ties, established this year, offers an opportunity to reaffirm the two nations’ commitment to strengthening their collaboration in pursuit of shared growth, Sheikh Mohamed said.
