The UAE Authorizes a System for Federal Government Employees to Work Remotely From Outside The Nation

His Royal Highness The UAE Cabinet meeting was headed by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, and it took place in Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi.

We approved our National Investment Strategy for the next six years at a UAE Cabinet meeting I chaired today at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi,” Sheikh Mohammed stated. Our objective is to raise the UAE’s overall foreign investment stock from Dhs 800 billion to Dhs 2.2 trillion over the next several years and the yearly inflows of foreign investment from Dhs 112 billion in 2023 to Dhs 240 billion by 2031. This plan’s main focus areas will be information technology, industry, logistics, financial services, and renewable energy.

In government affairs, we also approved the Remote Work System from Outside the Country in the Federal Government,” Sheikh Mohammed stated. “This allows the UAE to access specialized talent and global expertise to carry out projects and studies for federal entities.”

We also examined the development of the UAE’s strategic alliances with African countries, where 95% of previously authorized projects have been carried out effectively, Sheikh Mohammed continued. This has led to an 87% growth in our overall trade volume with Sub-Saharan Africa, from Dhs 126.7 billion in 2019 to Dhs 235 billion over five years. The UAE will keep constructing new economic ties and reaffirming its position as a global centre for commerce, linking markets worldwide.
