Two US service men were killed and one went missing in action in Jordan as a result of Iran’s blitz of missile and drone strikes, the Pentagon said Saturday. US Central Command (CENTCOM) stated that the servicemen were killed on Friday while defending against Iranian ballistic missile and drone assaults. One US service member is missing in action, and four others have been evacuated to Jordanian hospitals, according to a CENTCOM post on X.

Minutes earlier, Iran’s supreme leader had warned of “unforgettable lessons” if the United States continued to assault the Islamic Republic. The words read out on state television and ascribed to Mojtaba Khamenei, who has not been seen since the war began, also referred to President Donald Trump’s signature as “worthless and invalid. The comments came hours after a negotiator said that Tehran was suspending its commitments to the interim agreement reached around a month ago.
