Her Majesty A message of pride and honor was sent to women in the United Arab Emirates and around the world on International Women’s Day by Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, the Mother of the Nation, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF).
Sheikha Fatima emphasized that women have always been and will remain a symbol of kindness and strength, as well as an important ally in the country’s development and advancement. Throughout history, they have proven capable of achieving success in various sectors, setting an example of brilliance and inventiveness.
Sheikha Fatima affirmed that the UAE is proud of the distinguished status Emirati women have achieved on this occasion, which is celebrated annually on March 8. This is due to the vision and support of the wise leadership, which includes His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE’s president; his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE’s vice president, prime minister, and ruler of Dubai; their fellow members of the Supreme Council of the Union and the Rulers of the Emirates; and His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE’s deputy prime minister, vice president, and the Charman of the Presidential Court.
