In keeping with its ongoing humanitarian efforts to aid countries affected by natural catastrophes, the UAE has sent 700 tonnes of critical food supplies to Somalia’s flood victims in many areas.
To increase humanitarian efforts and lessen the suffering of the benevolent Somali people, the aid complies with the UAE’s leadership’s guidelines. Approximately 150,000 members of the devastated families needed food parcels from the shipments, which also provided immediate assistance to flood-affected regions. According to UAE Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Somalia Ahmed Juma Al Rumaithi, the aid shows the UAE’s support for the Somali brotherly people in these trying times.
The project highlights the close bilateral ties between the United Arab Emirates and Somalia and the UAE’s prudent leadership’s dedication to offering various forms of assistance and support to the affected communities,” he continued. To ensure that relief reaches as many people in need as possible, the UAE will keep collaborating with regional and global organizations. This will help to lessen their pain and hasten the healing process.
This humanitarian bridge demonstrates the UAE’s outstanding response to global emergencies and its ongoing assistance to nations in times of need, consistent with its core humanitarian goal of promoting global stability and development.
