Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC), has directed an acceleration in the adoption and integration of modern technologies powered by artificial intelligence (AI) assistants into government operations.
The move is intended to increase government efficiency, improve service quality, and facilitate the transition to an AI-assisted administration. The directive underscores Sharjah’s continuous commitment to a human-centered digital transformation strategy, as well as its efforts to use sophisticated technologies to improve government performance, increase service delivery, empower talent, and strengthen the emirate’s digital sovereignty.
Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Bin Sultan has authorized the Sharjah Digital Department to oversee the development of the Sharjah AI Assistant Programme in collaboration with government institutions.
The program will help to build the required enablers, identify priorities, and allow government bodies to speed the implementation of AI assistants throughout the emirate. The Sharjah Crown Prince further requested that efforts be made to improve engagement with the commercial sector, academic institutions, and members of the community. This will help foster innovation and sustainability, strengthen national skills, and leverage specific expertise.
