UAE: A Foreign Nurse Passes away in Abu Dhabi, and Social Media is Flooded with Condolences

According to her employer, a Filipina nurse who had only been in Abu Dhabi for a few months passed away in a car accident on Sunday, as reported by Khaleej Times. According to the Philippine Embassy, authorities have contacted the expat’s family and confirmed her death.

According to an HR officer at Al Raiaa Home Health Care, the foreign national, who was in her early 30s, arrived by plane in August of last year and began working there. She was able to finish her shift from morning until afternoon on Saturday, but that was our last contact with her,” the person in charge of human resources stated.

“We tried calling her on Sunday, but she didn’t answer, even though she was supposed to be on duty. We tried contacting her friends and accommodations, but we were unable to contact her,” he continued. The HR officer claimed that the required documentation has already been finished and that the home care provider was notified on Monday that she died in a car accident on Sunday night.
