Due to Demand for [opular Places, UAE Citizens must Contend with Skyrocketing end-of-Year Ticket Rates
Residents and expats in the GCC are busy UAE organising journeys home or vacations as the end-of-year travel season draws near. However, this year’s flights to some of the Citizens most well-liked GCC travel spots are all more expensive.
Compared to the same time last year, ticket prices are probably going to be 10.81 percent more on average. The only exception, however, is the cost of airline tickets to Kuwait, which are 7.33% less expensive than they were the previous winter.
Wego’s chief business officer, Mamoun Hmedan, said the price hike is anticipated for the top ten GCC travel destinations. Mamoun gave the following explanation for the price increase: “A number of variables, including as increased demand for travel, inflationary pressures, and rising gasoline prices, are driving this jump in prices. Airlines have changed their prices to balance rising operating costs and increased demand.
Cairo is the most visited city in the GCC, according to Wego, a travel app and online marketplace. According to Wego’s search statistics thus far, the top 10 most searched cities are Jeddah, Istanbul, Cochin, Bangkok, Lahore, London, Dubai, and Kuwait. It is recommended that visitors to these locations get their tickets as soon as possible to prevent further price increases.
