At GITEX World 2024, Abu Dhabi Police will Exhibit a Cutting-Edge Police Vehicle

In partnership with the Abu Dhabi Smart and Autonomous Systems Council, the Abu Dhabi Police General Command debuted the “Autonomous Patrol of the Future” at GITEX World 2024. This program is a component of ADP’s larger plan to improve road safety, security, and safety.

The Abu Dhabi Police provided a statement outlining the justification for the new patrol car’s introduction. It was clarified that the patrol is designed to be used in both off-road and residential settings. Additionally, the ability to drive autonomously, electric charging (from vehicle to payload), support for external charging of vehicles and equipment, and unmanned reconnaissance drones—carried in a drone box built into the patrol car—were all cited as ways to improve security coverage.

With autonomous off-road navigation skills that are extremely effective and appropriate for Abu Dhabi’s topography, the patrol is built to reach difficult-to-get places. After takeoff, the car’s wireless communication capabilities make direct connection with the patrol possible. With further equipment, the latter can hold up to six people and is created for flexibility.
