The UAE President sends a sincere Handwritten greeting on National Day Thanking Citizens and Expatriates

In honor of National Day, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed wrote a passionate handwritten note to the nation’s residents and foreigners on Monday. Sheikh Mohamed wrote in a post on X: “We are proud of the United Arab Emirates and its inhabitants and residents on this Eid Al Etihad occasion. The body in charge of planning the nation’s National Day festivities said last month that “Eid Al Etihad” is now the official name for the event.

I appreciate your perseverance and efforts. As Sheikh Mohamed stated in the note, “Thank you for everything you do for this country.”

The name highlights the concept of “union” (Etihad) and commemorates the December 2, 1971, unification of the Emirates. A key component of the nation’s “identity, symbolizing heritage, unity, strength, and national pride,” is the theme.

According to the committee, the ceremonial event will be held “amid the breathtaking natural landscapes of Al Ain, a city deeply cherished by the people of the UAE.” On December 2, local TV stations, movie theaters, and a few public spaces will broadcast live national day holiday 2024 celebrations for everyone in the United Arab Emirates.
