Sharjah to Invest Dhs283m in Developing Industrial Zone 6 Within Two Years

Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), said that the infrastructure development of Industrial Zone 6 marks a significant step forward in the emirate’s economic growth. The project, with an estimated cost of Dhs283 million, is expected to be completed within 24 months.

Al Owais emphasized that the initiative aligns with government directives to strengthen the business environment, attract investment, and enhance the quality of life for both residents and visitors in the industrial zone. The announcement was made during a media briefing organized by the SCCI, which was attended by senior officials including Major General Abdullah Mubarak Bin Amer, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police; Dr. Salah Bin Butti Al Muhairi, Chairman of the Sharjah Initiatives Implementation Authority (Mubadrah); Engineer Yousef Khamis Al Othmani, Chairman of the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority; Saeed Sultan Baljoo Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority; Engineer Hamad Juma Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Planning and Survey Department; Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji, Director General of Sharjah City Municipality; along with representatives from the companies executing the project.

He explained that the development will include 20 kilometres of internal roads built to modern standards. The project also features an integrated network for rainwater drainage, a sewage system, and a smart lighting network designed to meet contemporary urban requirements. In addition, it will incorporate telecommunications infrastructure, security cameras, and ample parking facilities, ensuring a fully equipped and future-ready industrial zone.
