
The announcement of agreements to build 13 new residential communities in the emirate of Abu Dhabi was attended by UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Wednesday. The projects, which will cost Dhs106 billion in total, would provide over 40,000 dwellings and residential plots for Emirati inhabitants.
The Abu Dhabi Projects and Infrastructure Centre (ADPIC) and the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority have signed agreements with several real estate development firms, which involve the construction of 25,244 housing units for Emiratis over the next five years, at a total cost of Dhs94 billion.
Sheikh Mohamed was briefed on the new projects, which are being completed to the highest international standards, at the unveiling at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi. With a wide range of basic services, public amenities, and recreational areas, the developments are intended to build completely integrated residential communities and neighborhoods for Emiratis.
In order to accomplish sustainability goals, address the requirements of the populace, and promote family stability and wellbeing throughout the emirate of Abu Dhabi, these will include commercial centers, mosques, schools, public parks, green spaces, and sports facilities.
