The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has declared a number of stringent regulatory and preventative actions. The findings verified that no formal permits had been granted for the importation or distribution of Uranus Star bottled water or any other branded goods, and that stores nationwide had not carried these items.
The Ministry said in a tweet on the ‘X’ platform that it had confirmed that the aforementioned product was contaminated with health-harming substances in a neighboring country, prompting it to intensify procedures and oversight and activate immediate verification steps as part of its ongoing monitoring of regional market developments.
To safeguard their health and safety, the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment has advised anyone who may have bought the aforementioned product from any source to dispose of it immediately, even if they only bought a small amount, and not to eat it.
Notably, around a week earlier, a neighbouring nation reported that two people had died and several had been poisoned after drinking “Uranus Star” water. Official testing verified that the water was unsafe to drink due to its hazardous contents.
