The fifth class of the CleanTech Youth Program, which equips youth with the knowledge and abilities to spearhead innovation in clean energy and sustainability, has graduated from the Sustainability and Innovation Center of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA).
Many of the 117 young men and women who have graduated thus far are working on research projects and initiatives in these areas. They are motivated to pursue academic and professional endeavors that promote sustainability and innovation as a result of their involvement in the program.
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, commented on the program’s role in preparing the next generation of sustainability leaders, saying: Our company think that investing in young people is the best investment for a sustainable future based on knowledge and innovation.
Our efforts to fulfill the vision and directives of the wise leadership to enable the youth as a major force behind innovation and to qualify them to lead the sustainable development process are supported by the CleanTech Youth Program.
The program helps engage young people in creating creative solutions for the energy of the future, prepares the next generation of sustainability leaders, and strengthens their role in constructing a future founded on knowledge and creativity.
